Affiliations

The Green Cocoon carefully chooses the groups and organizations that we join or affiliate with that help us help you. Many of the utility programs and state-run rebate programs require The Green Cocoon and their sales people to have certain certifications. Some of our affiliates offer these certifications.

Being certified differentiates us from other companies—it makes us more qualified. We don’t just train our people to take measurements. We understand the ins and outs of the home; the home as a system; and how our products interact with other systems in the home.

  • BPI (Building Performance Institute, Inc.) – BPI was founded in 1993 and has become the nation’s premier standards development and credentialing organization for residential energy auditing and upgrade work.
  • Green Alliance – Green Alliance provides discounts to their Community Cardholders to encourage shopping with the growing list of Business Partners. Those businesses are having the least impact on the environment and encouraging more sustainable business practices. Check out our page.
  • SPFA (Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance) – The Green Cocoon is a member of the SPFA as well as an accredited contractor, which is the educational and technical resource to the spray polyurethane foam industry. Our Senior Spray Foam Division Crew Leader Mike is an SPFA Master Installer. Also, other crew members have certifications through the SPFA.  As an accredited contractor we made a commitment to work in compliance with stringent health and safety guidelines and best practices application procedures including having staff that are SPFA PCP Certified professionals. This sets us apart from many other spray foam companies that don’t certify their employees.
  • USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council) – At USGBC they are committed to transforming how buildings are designed, constructed, and operated. They do this  through LEED, the world’s most widely used green building system with more than 100,000 buildings participating today.
